Is Nuclear Energy Taking a Back Seat to Renewables?
In a recent article citing research from government organizations like the FERC, data has been released that seems to indicate that renewable forms of energy like solar power are representing more energy production than nuclear. This exciting finding finally puts biomass, wind power, solar energy and even tidal power on equal footing with what is traditionally seen as the heavy hitter in energy production, next to coal.
So what does this mean for the residential or industrial solar power consumer? Firstly, it means that the amount of money that will be put into solar power research will likely increase as it continues to take more and more market share. This could spell serious improvements in solar panel efficiency as newer manufacturing technologies make better panels a more cost-effective option for homeowners.
Secondly, it means that if you become a homeowner or business owner that installs solar panels onto your building, you can say that you’re helping to contribute to national production of renewable energy on a scale never seen before in human history. It’s pretty remarkable when you think about it: all of the energy that is being produced renewably is now eclipsing the energy produced by nuclear power systems. That’s pretty impressive!
As exciting as all of this is, the most important thing to us is a satisfied solar power customer. That being said, contact us today to get started on a completely free energy assessment.
