Solar Power for Business is Good Business
When you add solar power to your business, you are creating a competitive advantage that very few companies have. Paying less for electricity over a 20 year period allows you to keep more money in your business by decreasing your yearly electricity (utility) expenses.
A simple example: say you currently pay $1,000 per month for electricity from the local utility. If you switch to solar, the cost of electricity becomes cheaper, meaning that your $1,000 bill turns into a $700 bill per month.
So here is how it looks over a 20 year period:
Do Nothing – Pay $1,000 per month for 20 years ($1,000 x 12 x 20) = $240,000
Switch to Solar – Pay $700 per month for 20 years ($700 x 12 x20) = $168,000
In this example, switching to solar you saves your company $72,000 over 20 years or $3,600 per year savings! Take that savings and increase your Google Adwords budget by $300/mo, or make a charitable donation, or lease a new vehicle for your company, add new decor to your office to boost moral, contribute to a business savings account and watch it grow, give someone a well deserved raise, throw and end of the year party, hire part time work… The possibilities are endless, and this is just an example.
The best part: Switching to solar requires NO money from your business to get started. You’re also doing a great thing for the environment and you can advertise as being a GREEN company (which people appreciate and care about!).
